Home / Services / Registration Services
NRS Registration Services are comprehensive and cost-effective. Because NRS-Online does not charge additional fees for registration, it is no longer expensive to register drafts, contracts, receipts and other documentation that will assist with proving authorship and/or ownership. Thus, one should register all documentary evidence and drafts with NRS and then the final to-be published work with both NRS and the US Copyright Office. In this manner, the copyright holder has an extensive base of evidence registered for providing authorship and also has Federal registration to allow pursuit of statutory damages in addition to actual damages in case of infringement.
The registration process is easy with NRS. To register an item, a subscriber need only submit it to NRS using any of the methods indicated in the table below.
Once an item has been received by NRS, it is time stamped and stored. The user's registry, if active, is then updated and a Registration Confirmation Notice is sent from the NRS Registrar to the user via electronic mail. If encryption is requested, electronic files will be encrypted prior to storage.
Once an item has been registered, a subscriber may generate a certificate code for it and request authentication and other services whenever necessary. Registration implies that the subscriber has established a verifiable time and date for their involvement with the particular item.
Files submitted via the eRegistration system may also be associated with a digital signature in addition to an NRS certificate code.

Automated registration of web pages is handled through the Daily Page Registration service.
Subscribers may have up to 256 web pages (or other pieces of online content) automatically registered on a daily basis. Through their online Registry, a subscriber simply enters the URL into the Daily Page form and submits it to the system. The NRS Daily Page Registration System will immediately register the page and will register it at least once every 24-hours from that point on. URLs for the online content to be registered may also be removed from the list at any time. Once removed no more registrations take place (although previous registrations are still kept in storage). All tools are available in the Registry for managing the list of pages that are registered each day. Every time a page is registered, the client's Registry is updated with information regarding the latest time stamp for each page's registration.
Being able to demonstrate clearly to others the content of a web page on any particular day is a strong liability management tool that will assist in disputes, legal cases and other similar situations. With a Validation link one can place an NRS Seal on pages that are registered daily to indicate this. With the appropriate HTML code, the Seal will link to the NRS servers and display a message validating that the page is indeed registered daily.
Any business that has online policies specifying terms and conditions, licenses, warnings, copyright notices, agreements and other important statements should consider having these pages registered each day by a third-party such as NRS-Online.
No other registration services offers as many registration solutions as NRS. Compare NRS to the competition and find out why NRS is the preferred choice of cost-concious business owners and artists.
